Post streptococcal glomerulonephritis

Persistance after 4 weeks warrants further investigation

Pulmonary oedema present as is hypertension (especially in older patients)

Oliguria happens first

Low C3 complement levels

Hypertensive encephalopathy (rare) can cause convulsions

The kidney changes are not focal
