Glycogen

The structure of this carbohydrate is linked glucose residues

They are chained 1,4 positions (see below) and with side branches

alpha 1,4 glycosidic bonds with branches formed by alpha 1,6 glycosidic linkages

It is the storage form of glucose and is found mainly in muscle and the liver
